La Grange, Kentucky is located in Oldham County and has a population of about 8,000 people according to the 2010 United States Census. La Grange serves as the county seat of Oldham County. The city was founded in 1827 and is named for Château de la Grange-Bléneau, the French country estate of Marquis de Lafayette who had once visited the area of La Grange in 1824. La Grange was incorporated as a city on January 23rd, 1840.
