About Finchville, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Shelby County, Finchville is an unincorporated community with a population of about 700 people. The community is situated about 30 miles from the Indiana state line. Finchville was named after Ludwell Finch, an early settler and blacksmith who farmed the area in 1841. Finchville maintains a post office.

Despite Finchville’s small size, there are many things to see and do that are located in the area. The community hosts an annual fall festival on the last weekend of September. The event is hosted by the Finchville Ruritan Club. Finchville is located about 30 miles from Louisville and about 30 miles from Frankfort. Due to Finchville’s location between these two large cities, residents and visitors of the community will find many things to do within a short distance of Finchville. Louisville features some of the area’s most attractive golf courses and city parks along with many shopping dining options. Residents looking to travel to Frankfort will also find many things to see and do around the city similar to Louisville, including many unique museums and historic places to visit.

Finchville experiences weather that is characterized by warm, humid summers and cool winters. During the months of summer, residents will find it necessary to invest in a cooling system to remain comfortable. The months of June, July, and August experiences temperatures that are very warm. These months often experience plenty of rainfall as well.

Winter in Finchville is characterized by very cool temperatures and snow. The months of December, January, and February have daytime temperatures that average in the lower to mid-40s. Residents should invest in a heat pump or furnace to remain comfortable indoors during the cooler months of the year. Residents should also have these systems inspected by an HVAC technician to ensure they are operating at their highest levels of efficiency.
