Located along Taylorsville Road and Finchville Road, Fisherville is a Kentucky neighborhood that is situated in the Louisville metro area. Fisherville is located in Jefferson County and has a population of about 4,500 people. The neighborhood was originally named Currey in honor of Edward Currey who opened the first post office in the area in 1833. The neighborhood was renamed after Robert Fisher in 1847, a gentleman who died in 1846 and operated a mill on Floyds Fork.
